July 5: Rest day in Osoyoos

Time for a lovely sleep-in although sun and heat prevented anything much later than 7:30. For Mary and Celia the day was largely spent doing ‘office’ stuff: catching up on email, organizing pictures, blogging, arranging to media. Thanks to Nk’mip for providing us with internet use. Some others went to the beach or for a bike ride around the area. It was a brutally hot day (as high as 40), and the sun dried our laundry in ten minutes - faster than the coin dryers dried all the other campers’ clothes - and for free! We all were glad we didn’t have to bike any long distance that day - it was enough to lie panting in the shade.
